What does the Fair Housing Amendment Act Say About Accessibility?

The Fair Housing Amendment Act made it unlawful to design and construct certain multifamily dwellings for first occupancy after March 13, 1991, in a manner that makes them inaccessible to persons with disabilities and established design and construction requirements to make these dwellings readily accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities.
